S4C St David's day concept

S4C Brief:
The brief for this project was to create a strong visual identity for S4C’s St David’s Day events which not only represent Wales’ National day, but which evoke S4C’s tone of voice and creative personality. The design would be used across a range of applications and materials, onscreen channel i-dents and on the day branding and signage.
After submitting several designs, we settled on a simple yet striking yellow themed concept submitted by graphic designer Naomi Bond. The yellow signifies the daffodil, an inherently Welsh symbol but which avoids the obvious use of the traditional icon. The branding also signifies S4C’s stylish and distinctive brand personality with broad appeal.
The result:
A successful program of events launched on St David’s day raising the profile of S4C in North Wales.
