Following a website that had already been established to promote a cookery demonstration DVD, we developed a piece that provided a sense of personal invitation to the live demonstrations. The format is based on a simple A5 flyer, a typical size for printed items aimed at tourists. However through subtle design decisions like the choice of material and finish used we were able to create a set of cutlery, which when picked could be perceived as personal to them. Bold typography was used to convey a fun tone of voice and a modern twist in relation to the traditional yet seemingly contemporary dishes. The piece is to be distributed via tourist information centres and similar attractions.
