Conka was approached by a start up company called Bra Angel UK who had identified the common problem of protruding bra underwires. We set about designing a quick and cheap solution. Employing rapid prototyping techniques, we were able to produce realistic mock-ups for use in testing and developing the product. The final design cleverly utilises the properties of the plastic to hold the product in place, whilst ensuring it remains hardwearing yet discreet.
The product, packaging and branding was all developed in-house along with the manufacturing project management. The first of its kind in the world, the repair kit has already received awards and has been featured on a number of British television programs who have been quick to identify it as an ideal solution. More recently, Bra Angel has been awarded a prestigious double-gold award at the British Invention Show.
The result:
The product is now in full manufacture and is being sold worldwide. The company is currently in talks with a number of large high street retailers and distributors.
