Hosted by the Radisson Blu Hotel in Cardiff City Centre, Design Graduate Wales 2009 is one of a series of events across Cardiff and the city region held as part of the annual Cardiff Design Festival in October. The showcase exhibits the multidisciplinary work of graduate students from across Wales.
Examples of design disciplines include:
• graphic design,
• motion graphics/animation,
• product design,
• costume/fashion/textiles,
• film and tv set design.
Working in collaboration and partnership, higher education institutions (HEI) across of Wales - who have strengthens in design, are asked to nominate three innovative, creative and entrepreneurial graduates to exhibit their work at a national showcase.
Partner institutions in Wales include: UWIC, University of Glamorgan, Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Bangor, Newport, Swansea, Aberystwyth, Coleg Sir Gar and Glyndwr.
