David Oliver Fine Foods Brand Design and Packaging

Brief

New start-up venture founded by two professional chefs seeking to build a new brand in the market of high quality ready meals. The whole idea of David Oliver Fine Foods is to make fresh, honest, hearty restaurant standard meals that people can simply prepare in their own homes at a fraction of the price of going to a restaurant. David Oliver values – Trust. Quality ingredients. Standards. Restaurant quality in your home and Consistency. It's these values that the brand scheme seeks to represent.

Solution

Monddi got to know the client, talking through project aspirations and the story of the brand. We designed the brand mark based around a high quality artisan mock crest. The character 'David Oliver' who appears on all packaging with a mixture of product related livestock and game was also created. Colours, authentic and heritage based. Monddi developed the tagline 'masterfully made, simple to serve' with plate designs specific to each dish (used to create an arc texture over the logo mark).
