Jamie Baulch Academy Branding

Brief

World Champion and Olympic sprinter Jamie Baulch came to Bluegg to help him launch his new venture, The Jamie Baulch Academy. The organisation aims to raise aspirations and inspire academic and sporting success in young people. Jamie needed us to create a brand that was personal, friendly and aspirational as well as supplementary materials such as a brochure, sponsorship form, livery and pop up banners.

Result

Now that Jamie has launched the academy he’s receiving an enormous level of interest from schools all over the country and the brand identity we put in place for him is presenting the company in a professional light. Jamie himself has noticed the results and said “Bluegg are one of the best companies in the industry and totally understand what you require and deliver every time with a fresh approach.”

Solution

It was decided that the look of the academy shouldn’t be focused on Wales, as Jamie intends to take it nationwide. We went with a signature-like logo to represent the personal nature of the business, as well as being professional but friendly in appearance, after all this is an initiative to get children to enjoy being active. We used black and white images of athletes which have more visual impact set against the traditionally British brand colours of red, white and blue. As with all successful brands, we ensured there was consistency across all materials.
