Brief

Provide the user with an experience of the park Reflect the development from a dated 1970’s zoo to a conservation led wildlife park Reflect the changing landscape Make it fun for children and commercial enough to attract possible future investors Be used as a marketing tool and ticket booking facility Allow for future expansion for web cams, online shop and extra interactive material Relate to the BBC Series following Anna Ryder-Richardson and her team as they go about their daily work

Result

Site visits have grown from under 1000 per month to over 10,000 unique visitors and over 100,000 page visits. The park has seen increased bookings and has received fantastic feedback from the general public and is to feature as park of an S4C programme in Autumn this year. The future expansion is now underway due to the success of the site. We are now looking at installing web cams within the enclosures which will link directly to the park map and the online shop is nearing completion.

Solution

We created a visually engaging site and unique navigation. The user moves with the landscape as they explore different areas of the site. We used Anna and the other stars of the BBC series on the homepage. Areas include an interactive map, behind the scenes footage, animal and educational information, corporate benefits and sponsor an animal opportunities. Quick links were added to the base of each page to allow easy access to popular areas and latest news or developments to the park.
