Brief

Based in Heddon Street, Mayfair, CIA is at the cutting edge of illustration and at the centre of their industry. CIA wanted a new website that could act as an online portfolio for all eighty of their artists, with a full functioning online shop and an integrated blog.

Result

There is a huge generational shift occurring in the commercial art commissioning market. As printed directories and the humble postcard fall out of favor among new waves of young buyers, the importance of a beautifully designed and highly effective website becomes ever greater. With the folios of eighty artists to manage and a raft of navigational and viewing features on our wish list

Solution

Having developed the CIA brand, we had a great understanding of the agency and its personality. Our challenge was to design a visual site that allowed for the diverse styles of the artists work, while still being unmistakably CIA. We feel we achieved this through a restrained design and bespoke functionality, including a mood board, zoom detail and the shop. SEO was a priority for the client, and this was addressed with the development of the site and the inclusion of an integrated blog
