Brief

Bobadeg Ltd’s objective was to create novel and engaging Personalised Learning Adventures for 2-5 year olds by integrating the child’s photo and name into its books and online activities. A key requirement was to automate the production process, allowing the customer to personalise the book element themselves. A further requirement was to provide a secure, personalised, dedicated portal for each child that could be updated with activities relating to each newly purchased Learning Adventure.

Result

Compared to competitors worldwide, the Bobadeg order process is more efficient and cost-effective as it does not require manual integration of the photo with the artwork as per industry standard process. It is also the only personalised childrens' book company to provide an online interactive portal for it's customers to use alongside the books. The site is currently in Beta testing and will be launched on 1st September. After launch, we can provide a full set of user results.

Solution

A book creation web application, interactive Flash learning area and online store within a single web portal. The automated, secure, book artwork creation system produces a print-ready file online and sends it straight to print. The customer is guided through an intuitive interface to personalise a book with their child’s photo and name. The child can also access their own online Discovery Tree – a personalised Flash area that features learning activities that correspond with their book.
