A collaboration between Pirum Press, CIA and Staziker Jones. The brief was to create a book that not only presented the CIA as the international leading agency for illustration, but also as a covetable Art book in its own right.
Result
Sale of nearly 3,000 copies to date.
"Having recently overhauled our CIA brand identity, Staziker Jones were already seriously in tune with the personality of our agency and the artists we represent which made them obvious choices to design our first ever book. Our ambition was to create a covetable book that would serve two purposes; firstly of establishing the story of the agency and celebrating it's collaborative output.
Solution
With beautiful imagery supplied from the agency’s eighty artists, the challenge was to create a design, which could stand-alone as a desirable publication while providing a respectful framework for the artists work. We feel we’ve achieved this balance through the use of high production values and obsessive attention to detail, such as the reproduction of vintage endpapers, the use of two coloured ribbons and restrained typography.
