Brief

S4C launched a series of programmes based on religious and spiritual pilgrimages. They asked us to create a title sequence that would brand the series and reflect its common themes.

Result

After a fractious process, it all came together in the end.

Solution

We produced a title sequence that depicts the journey of the word 'Y Daith' as it travels across different landscapes. At the beginning, the words are broken into hundreds of gracefully floating pieces until they reach their destination where they congregate to form the title. We filmed in different locations throughout South Wales, Each shot was 3D motion tracked which allowed us to composite and animate the pieces within each scene.
