Brief

To develop two collections of ten large (136cm square) silk scarves using data captured from minerals and rocks. The first collection to be exclusive to Liberty, the second to be sold worldwide through comparable top-end retailers.

Result

The Liberty Collection has just gone on sale and its development will be featured in a forthcoming BBC2 series presented by Theo Paphitis. Alex Stylianidis, Head of Buying (Womens and Accessories) at Liberty, comments: 'We were impressed with the raw quality of Richard images that he has managed so gracefully to turn into desirable and utterly unique scarves. Now that the scarf is the must-have accessory, we are sure his designs will be a hit in store and are supporting them as much as we can.'

Solution

The scarves were developed from images of minerals and rocks and produced by Maver of Como in Italy. They are branded 'weston naturally exclusive' - the name reflecting the uniqueness of each image captured from the natural materials - and featured on the website www.naturallyexclusive.com, which was completely re-designed for the project.
