Cwtches sheepskin booties
Brief
To design and produce sheepskin booties for babies so we had warm winter foorwear as well as our soft leather baby shoes. Also to enhance the Inch Blue range and open new markets for us.
Result
The result was incredible. The Cwtches won Gift of the Year 2009, Kids category, an award run by The Giftware Association. This in turn increased sales and gave us an opening into completely new markets. The new product was not only functional, it became the perfect gift for babies especially around Christmas. The packaging also contributed in this regard as the Gift box shows the Cwtches to their true potential as a quality product.
Solution
The sheepskin was sourced in the Uk and the design was researched and tested and re-tested until we had a fit that was suitable for babies from 0-12 months. The design was an Inch Blue team effort. The product was hand sewn, creating a unique and quality product. The sheepskin booties were named Cwtches which is Welsh for love, hug or cuddle.
