Gelert approached View during the latter half of 2009 with an idea for moving their brand in a new direction. They had an idea for positioning Gelert at a lifestyle brand, with a range of contemporary products, not just the traditional camping equipment as their customers had come to expect. The brief was to develop a new corporate identity that would take gelert into their next business phase.
Result
Not only did we help them develop their new brand and corporate guidelines, but we also designed new packaging, brochures, POS and marketing, and braved the North Wales weather to capture these stunning photographs. We wrote copy, created a new tone of voice and are currently building a fabulous new website. The new branding has already been launched to the trade market and has been well received across the organisation.
Solution
Our creative team began the project with focus groups, research and appraisals of the existing logo. Our team then set about creating a logo with real longevity to withstand changes across the organisation, together with a brand manual that was dynamic and constantly updating. The solution to the brief was this is fabulous new contemporary identity, with a nod to gelert’s roots in the welsh mountains.
