Bloc and Cardiff Design Festival discuss interesting times

Discussions are underway with Bloc about mutual collaboration between the festival and ‘May you live in interesting times’, Festival of Creative Technology 2009 which will focus on the presentation of innovative work in and around Cardiff over a two-day period. Included will be a conference, new commissions, residencies, screenings, and artists’ projects in public sites across the city. The Cardiff Design Festival, now in its 4th year, grew from a personal dissatisfaction with the amount of recognition that design companies in Wales were getting for the work they were doing.

What a neat little lecture venue at technquest! Fighting talk from Blair Enns last night on why the client/designer relationship needs a total rethink. loved the accent and the medical analogies.

The Festival is convened and facilitated by Cardiff School of Art & Design at the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff (UWIC) in collaboration with partners from the creative industries and other public bodies and private businesses.
